First Week Home – Postpartum Package  $800

Three examples of first week shift:

  1. 10hrs = three 3-hour visits + 1 hour of home evaluation

  2. 10hrs = two 4-hour shifts + a 2 hour check-in at week’s end

  3. 10hrs = one 9-hour night-time shift +1 hour home evaluation

Duties in package can include:

  • Breastfeeding Counseling/Latch And Positioning Help

  • Understanding Baby Cues

  • Question and answer support

  • Non judgmental support for family Organize the home and nursery 

  • Screen for postpartum mood disorders

  • Sleeping solutions and how to get enough sleep in the first weeks

  • Help create a nurturing & quiet environment for the family

  • Partner support-working with mother's partner 

  • Hands-on education for infant and mama care

  • Prepare pump supplies or bottles

  • Babywearing assistance, education, and demonstrations

  • Caring for mama as she recovers from birth

  • Processing the birth experience

As a postpartum doula, I provide gentle support and guidance for mothers and couples. During our first experience together I observe your interactions as a mother, a couple, and a new or expanded family. During this time I offer support based on your personalities and needs. All experiences are unique and beautiful as they are. I work within your space to support you in your journey for a successful experience.

What is a Postpartum Doula?
Postpartum Doulas are a trained professional that provides physical, emotional, and spiritual, support and guidance to a new mother and the rest of the family.   The Postpartum Doulas is a reference point, assistant and resource for the family in the postpartum period. In addition the Postpartum Doula will also provide breastfeeding support, light household chores, nurture and advice where the family has questions about newborn care and support other members of the family.


Working with the parents the Postpartum Doula can assist in making the transition to parenthood and a successful breastfeeding and family relationships easier. The Postpartum Doula does not take over infant care, but supports and assists the family in learning about newborn, self and family care. They work to empower parents and family members in feeling secure in their care skills.

Lactation Counseling and support

Breastfeeding is personal, and each family has their own questions and concerns. Private, in-home counseling sessions are available to help your family prepare for nursing. Select the topics that are of interest to you: why breastfeed, breast milk vs. formula, your breast history and how it impacts breastfeeding, getting started with breastfeeding, breastfeeding in the first 4-8 weeks, breastfeeding the child with special needs, avoiding common "booby traps," how partners, parents, and children can support the breastfeeding mother and baby, and how to overcome your fears. 


Initial Consultation $120 (1 1/2 -2hours)

additional consults: $60/hr (sliding scale may be available)

Recommendation: 1-2 sessions, each session 1-2 hours

Phone consultation $30/hr
